And Grace Will Lead Us Home...

"A butterfly flew into the room and hovered for awhile over the dying Empress, and when she had breathed her last it spread its wings and flew out into the free air again." THE EMPRESS FREDERICK

July 28, 2011

In this dream, I didn't really recall all that much of it. I am just recounting the unusual part of it.

I woke up in the middle of the early morning hours with some past life matches for my mother and her parents that Brianstalin made running VERY strongly on my mind. Puzzled as to why this was, I then recalled part of the dream I had just had. In it I was talking with someone and something flew by our heads and alighted upon the wall nearby. I looked closer and realized I was looking at a blue and gold butterfly. I pointed the butterfly out to the person I was talking to and told them that when I see a butterfly in my dreams, it often is my grandmother visiting with me. It was in that moment that I realized I was dreaming this, while still asleep.

UPDATE: August 4, 2011
In my dreams, when I am visited by my 'guides,' they always appear with blue and gold colors. The colors can be emanating from them, engulf them completely, or show up in an important object they want me to pay attention to.
When a butterfly visits my dreams, I feel my maternal grandmother's presence. Butterflies were her favorite and she had them hanging all over her house when I was growing up. When I see a butterfly in my dreams it always seems to have a blue and gold color to it. Looking back at these dreams though, I'm starting to see it occurs within a short time before someone in my family dies. The first time I remembered dreaming of one was right before my grandfather passed, then my cousin, then my aunt...and now, the day after I had this dream, on July 29, my nephew was killed in a motorcycle accident...
I love you Gramma Grace and thanks for the 'knowing' and reconnection...but it is still hard.

Amazing Grace Lyrics

"Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me....
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now, I see.

T'was Grace that taught...
my heart to fear.
And Grace, my fears relieved.
How precious did that Grace appear...
the hour I first believed.

Through many dangers, toils and snares...
we have already come.
T'was Grace that brought us safe thus far...
and Grace will lead us home.

The Lord has promised good to me...
His word my hope secures.
He will my shield and portion be...
as long as life endures.

Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail,
and mortal life shall cease,
I shall possess within the veil,
a life of joy and peace.

When we've been here ten thousand years...
bright shining as the sun.
We've no less days to sing God's praise...
then when we've first begun.

"Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me....
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now, I see.
