Salt Glow

I held a pink salt lamp in my hands. Without really doing anything to it, I suddenly felt it crack inside. Looking at it, it didn't look really different, but when I shifted it, where it cracked came loose. I pulled it apart and inside I saw a beautifully done wooden matrix that had been holding it all together. Worried about what to do with it now that it was broken in two, I realized that it was still okay and usable. All I need to do was attached a hinge to the two pieces and turn the broken off piece into a little door...sort of like a one of those Faberge eggs.
